AS more and more people reduce their meat consumption and explore vegetarian and vegan food, the Bath Vegan Festival on Saturday 3rd June provides a great opportunity to learn about what is available, not only in food and drink, but skincare, homewares, crafts, clothing and a healthy lifestyle.

The event, at Bath Pavilion, will feature more than 80 stalls showcasing the vegan lifestyle and including charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Some stalls to look out for include VDogs, with their range of cooked to order vegan hotdogs, Bristol-based Chiki Monkey, makers of artisan, chickpea-based food products such as Seaweed Patties and Nofu, a scrambled tofu alternative. Another Bristol business, Creamberry Artisan, offers homemade and award winning free-from sweets and savouries.

Oh Oils sells scented aromatherapy oils, responsibly grown and harvested, vegan, cruelty free, 100 per cent natural and beautifully packaged in totally recycled packaging – even their ribbons used to be plastic bottles.

A new cook book, Bo’s Book, on sale at the fair, features simple, easy-to-follow recipes together with beautiful illustrations of dogs from animal welfare charity, Miracle’s Mission. All the profits go to help this non-profit animal welfare organisation which works with sick, injured and difficult animals.
