A STARRY line-up of celebrities, including the Queen’s son, food writer Tom Parker-Bowles, singer-songwriter Toyah Willcox and Lord Michael Grade, will take part in a special edition of The Weakest Link, chaired by the TV programme’s founder presenter Anne Robinson, at Cirencester’s Barn Theatre on Saturday 18th January.
The charity event is raising funds for the Hatherop Big Build, a fund-raising project to secure the future of Hatherop Primary School, a much-loved rural school in the heart of the Cotswolds. The campaign has a target of £1.5 million to deal with problems of overcrowding, replace a deteriorating prefab building and create additional space.
Facing Anne Robinson – known as the “Queen of Mean” – will be the former chairman of the BBC and current member of The House of Lords, Michael Grade CBE, news presenters Kay Burley, Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, jockey Nico de Boinville, a two-time Queen Mother Champion Chase, and Arkle Challenge winner, Simon Heffer the historian, journalist, author and Telegraph columnist, Stanley Johnson, former MEP and participant in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, Tom Parker-Bowles, Nick Peto and Toyah Wilcox.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Hatherop Big Build.
