PIANIST Stephen Beville comes to Shute in East Devon for a recital at St Michael’s Church, on Friday 14th March, at 7.30pm, part of the continuing Shute Festival
Acclaimed in 2010 by the Frankfurter Neue Press as “one of the most talented young musicians to emerge from the UK,” Stephen Beville is a pianist and composer. He has performed throughout Britain and Germany and has broadcast on radio stations in Germany and Britain. He has performed at international festivals and his debut CDs were released in 2012 to critical acclaim.
At Shute beautiful church, with its fine acoustic, he will be playing three Beethoven piano sonatas, including the Pathetique and the monumental Hammerklavier.
His own compositions have been performed by The Manson Ensemble, Music-Projects London, Ensemble Firebird, The New Ensemble and the Badisches Staadtskapelle, among others.
