Chips with … no chips!

YEOVIL-based Lost Lady Society brings The Saviour, a new comedy musical on tour in November, starting at the David Hall, South Petherton, on Thursday 7th November, and continuing at Stoke sub Hamdon working men’s club on Saturday 9th (more dates below).

The play is set in a struggling family-run chip shop that faces an unexpected crisis — no potatoes
This heartfelt and hilarious musical has been cooked up through collaboration with the Yeovil community.

Diving into the chaos that ensues through “potato-gate”, The Saviour looks at resilience, marginalisation, and the strength of rural communities. Through the lens of a family business on the brink, the play reflects the feelings of isolation that many in Yeovil and similar towns feel. all with a side order of witty West Country banter.

With nearly half of Somerset’s population living in rural areas and a significant portion aged over 65, The Saviour sheds light on the unique challenges faced by these often-overlooked groups. It’s funny because it’s true!

At its heart, this play offers a large portion of community spirit and comedy with pop music on the side!

The tour continues on Thursday 14th November at Westlands Bar in Yeovil, Friday 15th at Long Sutton Golf Club, Saturday 16th at The Tippling Philosopher, Milborne Port and Saturday 23rd at Ilchester Town Hall.
