ARE you and your children looking for fun and adventure this Easter? Dorset Museum & Art Gallery in Dorchester has a choice of activities and exhibitions for all tastes, including a chance for youngsters to dress up as birds (pictured).
As well as the brilliant exhibition of Elisabeth Frink’s work and life, on until 21st April, there are opportunities to play with the interactive displays, dress up as famous historical figures and join in with one of the museum’s egg-citing bird-themed activities.
The galleries, Our People’s Dorset, Artists’ Dorset, Natural Dorset and Hardy’s Dorset, will be open as usual, and special activities include free family fun on Thursdays 4th and 11th April, from 10am to noon.
Children can build a nest using recycled materials in the Learning Centre or go on a journey through the museum and its natural history collection on the bird spotting trail. These activities are free with museum entry and there is no need to book – last entry for these activities is 11.45am.
