Folk music from around the world

A TRIO of multi-instrumentalists who have played with many of the West Country’s leading theatre companies come to Dorset for three dates with Artsreach, from 14th to 16th March.

Jaclarabag perform heartfelt, eclectic folk songs from across the world, with a good dose of original material thrown in.

Jim Carey (accordion, trombone, guitar) and Giles King (clarinet, bagpipes, whistle, saxophone) have both written and performed music for theatre companies including Kneehigh, Miracle, Wildworks and more. Claire Ingleheart (fiddle, clarinet, baritone) is a composer and musician with a vast repertoire of styles, including funk, folk and shanties.

Join these versatile musicians and enter an exciting world of plaintive airs, brass band mischief and Balkan delights on their short tour, performing at the village halls at Buckland Newton on Friday 14th March, East Stour on Saturday 15th and Corfe Castle on Sunday 16th, all starting at 7.30pm.
