THE British and Irish Cheese Awards return to the Bath and West show ground over the weekend 21st to 23rd March, running again this year in conjunction with the Bath and West Food and Drink Festival, which is in its second year.
With more than 500 entries from around the United Kingdom, the British and Irish Cheese Awards are back – with a new name to include all our Irish entries. All cheese entries will be judged on Friday 21st, in a single day, by a strong judging panel, including cheesemakers, cheesemongers, cheese experts, buyers and commentators.
Entries will be judged in individual classes during round one, as the panel decides upon Gold, Silver and Bronze award winners, before all Gold winners are judged again to identify the category winners. Following a final round of judging with the category winners, the 2025 Supreme Champion will be selected and revealed during the British & Irish Cheese Awards Dinner on Friday evening.
As well as some of the region’s most interesting and exciting food and drink producers, the line up for the Food & Drink Festival will include TV presenter, Andy Clarke, food & drink broadcaster Nigel Barden and other brilliant local speakers who will cover topics ranging from farming to feasting and everything in between.
Throughout the weekend, the Bath & West Steam Railway will be open and the Kids Zone will keep little foodies entertained with cooking workshops, creative crafts and food and farming activities.
